With that said I have had successful seed planting by planting my seeds in late March or April. You can also set the fruit or seeds out in the fall and cover with some dirt and wood chips as mulch and the seeds will generally sprout. I personally have never had a problem in 6 years of planting the seeds this way. Most of the seeds will sprout in August or in September even. If you warm the soil early in the spring with black plastic or other methods you will get sprouting sooner.
